Sleep Patterns..

Since I've been in college, I've had the craziest sleep patterns. Wake up at 1 PM, go to bed at 4 AM. Now that I have to wake up for work, I have to get back to a normal sleep pattern. Blah. No more 3AM bedtimes for me.

I really want to buy a Vineyard Vines tote bag. I don't have anything VV and I think that should change. I think I'll end up buying this one:

I'm definitely a fan of anchors. I have a pair of wellies, flip-flops, and now I need a tote.


I've got a work meeting tomorrow to get my hours straight. Yay!

School's Out.

So I have finished my freshman year of college. It went by so fast. I'm really happy to be having a good three month long break from school work. I should start working really soon. I need to; I'm pretty much broke.

It's really nice being home. I got to see my best friend from here. We spent a good hour sitting in my room reading old letters from our sophomore year of high school. I haven't laughed so hard in a while. It was great. It was a bit weird seeing her at first, just because life has changed us. We are both a bit older, wiser (maybe not), and smarter. I am really hoping that this summer will be great.

oh, btw. bubs told me "you're beautiful" in Arabic. I almost melted. He makes me giggle like a little schoolgirl...and I love it.  A lot.

It's kind of funny that such an ugly print can mean so much in my life. For those of you who do not know, this is ACU print. It's worn by the Army..blah, blah. In short, lover wears it and I miss him. He needs to come back and hold my hand and give me forehead kisses. You'd think that wouldn't be too difficult. In reality, it's pretty much impossible.

I talked to him today though. We have planned to move to Charleston when I graduate. Planning the future makes getting through the present so much easier...even when it seems almost impossible.
Some days I wish we could throw away the stupid dog tags and government issued shirts and just lay in bed with a bottle of wine and do nothing. To me, that is perfection. It seems so easy to other people, but when your person is on the opposite side of the world you realize that it would make you happier than winning the lottery. I'd rather this deployment end than win 30 million dollars.

Sometimes it just hurts and I can't make it go away. Fuckin' Army.

The last two weeks of school should be called hell week, not to be confused with the hell week in the Greek system (which I will happily endure this coming Fall). It is a horrible time of papers, tests, and catching up on things you decided not to do throughout the semester. I am a procrastinator with a slight (and self diagnosed) case of ADD. Therefore, it is very difficult for me to finish all of my work. It is Wednesday of week one. By this time next week I will probably be going insane, unless, for once, I am able to be really productive.

But...productivity never really happens for me. So we'll see how that works out.

In other news, it was warm enough for me to wear a skirt in this frigid state...only two more weeks until I am back in the south!

I've recently become an avid computer screen shopper..that's pretty much the equivalent to a window shopper, but online. So I am sure that throughout my time as a blogger I will post lots of things that I will never be able to afford on a desk receptionist salary. I've decided that my shopping addiction is a lot healthier than most other addictions. Plus, it also helps me forget that my boyfriend is halfway across the world.

He is Mr. Loverpants. We've been in an LDR for about a year and a half of our two and a half together. The Army is his mistress. We've had very little communication and haven't seen each other in about four and a half months. I'm sure if you read this, you'll hear a little whining every once and a while, but you'll also get to see how excited I am when I talk to him. Our relationship is a beautiful thing and I am entirely content with who we are.

I'm Sam. I go to college in the Midwest training to be an elementary school teacher, but I'm a southern girl at heart. Only three more weeks until I am back in the land of sweet tea and sunshine. I have a lovely boyfriend of over two and a half years. He's in the Army and is now stationed overseas.
